Redmi K20 Pro was one of the best Xiaomi phone that came with pop-up camera & best specifications at that time. In this post we will share with you a dedicated guide on how to overclock Redmi K20 Pro Display up to 102hz.
Redmi K20 Pro was launched back in 2019 and came with very good specifications at that time. Right now the software support is ended by Xiaomi for Redmi K20 Pro but there is a huge development for this device in AOSP Based custom rom and in latest MIUI 14 ported rom as well.
Guide to Overclock Redmi K20 Pro Display
A developer named as Kami has given this overclocking method to Redmi K20 Pro users and this is working very great on this device. We have tested this method on our device and surprisingly this is working on MIUI & AOSP based custom roms and you can actually control the refresh rate via an app.
Here is the guide to overclock Redmi K20 Pro display to 102hz. Since this method requires root to work so we will suggest you to install latest Magisk 26.1 on your device. Also we don’t force anybody to do such things on your device, if anything goes wrong we are not responsible for that and kindly don’t try this method on other devices. This method is only for Redmi K20 Pro. Now let’s proceed with the method.
Step 1: Firstly download all the required files from the links given below and save them on your internal storage.
Step 2: Now install any custom recovery on your device and root your phone with latest Magisk 26.1.
Step 3: Reboot your phone to recovery mode by pressing power + volume up button simultaneously on your phone. This will reboot your phone to recovery mode.
Step 4: Now search for those files which you have downloaded on your phone, select KamiOC_1.2_60-72-84-90-102.img file and swipe to flash and select dtbo partition while flashing this img file.
Step 5: After that reboot your phone to system and then go to your file manager and install provided APK file on your phone and now open this app ( This app will ask you for root permissions so allow it the required permissions).
Step 6: Open Magisk Manager on your phone and go to modules section and then flash the KamiOC_Green_tint_Remover.zip in magisk manager and then reboot your phone once to activate the module.
Now this module will remove the extra green tint on your phone when you will select higher refresh rates. Everything is done , just open the app on your phone and select from the available refresh rates. You can select 60hz, 72hz, 84hz, 90hz, 102hz.
Note: After enabling the higher refresh rate the display will become yellowish so calibrate your colors with any app that supports color calibration in MIUI rom. Color calibration is present in AOSP ROM so you can adjust the values according to your preferences.
