Xiaomi ended MIUI 14 Android 13 updates in favor of HyperOS

Xiaomi is all set to launch its high-end flagship Xiaomi 14 Series in China on October 27, 2023. along with the most awaited Xiaomi’s new custom skin “HyperOS“. Some of the reports are confirming that the Chinese OEM has stopped the development of Android 13-based MIUI 14 versions for multiple devices. Here is the complete details.

HyperOS is Coming

Xiaomi’s next-generation operating system “HyperOS” is ready to launch along with the flagship Xiaomi 14 series in China and for that reason, Xiaomi ended up developing MIUI 14 versions based on Android 13. These are China beta ROMs which were tested on multiple devices. Now it is officially confirmed that Xiaomi phones will be powered by HyperOS starting with Xiaomi 14 series.

Here’s what Xiaomi states about the development of MIUI 14 based on Android 13 builds:

1. In order to give you a better experience, Xiaomi 12S Ultra, Xiaomi 12S Pro, Xiaomi 12S, Xiaomi 12 Pro, Xiaomi 12, Xiaomi 12 Pro Dimensity Edition, Redmi K50 Extreme Edition, Redmi K50 E-Sports Edition, Redmi K50 Pro, Redmi K50, and Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 Pro 12.4 will suspend the release of the MIUI development version based on Android 13 from October 21, 2023. The above models will re-release the development version after adapting to Android 14. Thank you for your support and understanding.

In order to give everyone a better experience, Xiaomi 13 Ultra, Xiaomi13 Pro, Xiaomi 13, Xiaomi MIX Fold 3, Xiaomi MIX Fold 2, Redmi K60 Pro, Redmi K60 will suspend the release of MIUI based on Android 13 starting from September 23, 2023.
