WhatsApp is working on a lot of useful features for both Android & iOS platforms. WhatsApp is rolling out a stable update for iOS on App Store with build number 23.10.76 which allows users to use the same WhatsApp account on multiple devices with the same level of privacy and security thanks to WhatsApp’s end-to-end encryption. This update is rolling out on App Store, don’t worry if you can’t see the same update, it will come in the upcoming weeks.
Companion Mode will allow you to use your same WhatsApp account on multiple devices. You can link your same account up to 4 devices and there is no privacy or security-related issues while using the same WhatsApp account on multiple devices.
When someone will send you a message, the same message will appear on connected devices maintaining the same level of security because of end-to-end encryption. This feature was only available on Android and you can’t use your iPhone as a secondary device but finally, the ability to use the same WhatsApp on multiple devices now arrives on iOS. How to Use Companion Mode on iOS
These are the steps by which you can use companion mode on an iOS device.
- Make sure to update your WhatsApp to the latest version from App Store on your iPhone.
- Open WhatsApp on your secondary phone.
- Choose the option “link this device to an existing account”, it will generate a QR Code.
- Scan the generated QR code from your primary iPhone, this will load your chats from your account to your secondary device.
Note: On your secondary device or the device to which will you connect, you can’t use all the features present on your primary device. There will be some limited features but yeah most of the useful features will be there which you can use anytime.
