These Xiaomi Phones Will Not Get HyperOS 2.0 Android 15 Update
Xiaomi is releasing HyperOS 2.0, the latest update for its phones. It is based on Android 15, which brings smoother animations and better stability. However, not all Xiaomi devices will get HyperOS 2.0 with Android 15.
What’s Happening?
Some phones will get the HyperOS 2.0 update, but it will only be based on Android 14, not Android 15. This is because Xiaomi has already provided the promised major updates for these devices.
Devices Not Getting HyperOS 2.0 with Android 15:
Here are the phones that will likely miss out on the Android 15 version:
- Xiaomi 11 Series
- Redmi 12 Series
- Redmi Note 12 Series
- Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G / NE / LE
- POCO C5 Series
- POCO M5 Series
- POCO X5 Series
- POCO F4 Series
- Xiaomi Pad 6
- Redmi K50 Series (except K50 Ultra)
Features Missing in HyperOS 2.0 Android 14:
Phones running HyperOS 2.0 on Android 14 will not have these cool features:
- Parallel Animations for smoother multitasking.
- New Lock Screen Clocks for a fresh look.
- Updated Control Center Animations for better visuals.
- New Xiaomi Pad Volume Slide for easier sound control.
- AI Features to make your task easier.
What Does This Mean?
If your phone is on the list, you’ll still get HyperOS 2.0, but it won’t include the latest features of Android 15. The update will still improve your phone’s stability, but it won’t feel as new or advanced as Android 15.
Stay tuned for more updates and check if your device is eligible for future features!
It’s an injustice, frankly I’m starting to dislike the brand anymore. Too much discrimination against us 😞 especially us users of the Redmi 12, no new control center, with such meager and at all successful updates. Bye bye Xiaomi…
They are just providing promised Android updates
I hate the Xiaomi brand, why all this discrimination?! Redmi 12C has not been on the market for more than a year, and it has received only one Android version, which you legally have to give two Android updates to Redmi 12C users! Please reconsider.
but it’s a budget device
