OnePlus started rolling out the October 2023 Android security patch level to OnePlus phones a few days back starting with OnePlus Nord 3 and now it is expanded to more OnePlus phones such as OnePlus 8T and OnePlus 9R. Both devices are getting an OTA update which brings the latest Android Security Patch that aims to fix certain security flaws.
OnePlus 8T & OnePlus 9R October Update
OnePlus is expanding the October 2023 Android security patch to OnePlus 8T and OnePlus 9R. The Indian users of both devices can now check their updater to get the latest update as OnePlus is rolling out the update gradually to a few users. It will be expanded to more users over the coming days. Anyways, the changelog on both devices just mentioned,”Integrates the October 2023 Android security patch to enhance system security“.

Apart from this, there is no new feature added in this update as the Company is already testing the OxygenOS 14 based on the Android 14 version on these devices. Those who want to experience the upcoming OxygenOS 14 features can enroll for the beta through their devices and those who want a stable experience can update to the latest version rolled out by OnePlus.
