Poco X5 5G to Receive HyperOS Update Soon
Xiaomi’s sub-brand Poco recently launched the Poco X5 5G smartphone globally. The device was launched with MIUI 13 based on Android 12 out of the box. Now, Poco X5 5G users have been eagerly waiting for the latest HyperOS update on their devices.
Well, we have good news for Poco X5 5G users. According to a recent report from Xiaomiui, the Poco X5 5G with the codename ‘Moonstone’ has received the latest HyperOS update in China. The new Poco HyperOS version 1.0.3.0.UMPMIXM has been spotted on Xiaomi’s servers.
This indicates that Xiaomi has already started testing the HyperOS update internally for the Poco X5 5G smartphone. The update is expected to roll out widely by January 2024 globally including in India.
With the HyperOS update, Poco X5 5G users will be able to experience a smooth Android 14 experience. HyperOS brings optimized system performance and enhanced UI visuals over MIUI 13.

To recap, the Poco X5 5G features a 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate. It is powered by the Snapdragon 695 chipset, paired with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. The phone packs a 5000mAh battery with 67W fast charging support.
In terms of optics, there is a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 48MP main sensor, 8MP ultrawide lens and 2MP macro camera. Upfront, it has a 16MP selfie camera. The device also comes with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
