Xiaomi Rolls Out HyperOS Update for Redmi Note 12 5G in Europe
Xiaomi has started rolling out the HyperOS update to Redmi Note 12 5G users in Europe. This comes after the company announced the Android 14-based HyperOS upgrades for several of its devices.
The Redmi Note 12 5G is now receiving the stable HyperOS 1.0.2.0.UMQEUXM update in select European countries including Spain, France and Greece. The OTA update is being rolled out incrementally to limited users for testing before a wider release.
With this latest HyperOS release, the Redmi Note 12 5G gets upgraded to a more optimized software experience based on Android 14. Key highlights of the update include:

- Faster app launch times and smoother animations
- Enhanced privacy controls and permissions
- Improved battery life and system stability
- New customizable lock screen and widgets

Users should receive an OTA notification for installing the HyperOS update. They can also manually check by:
- Going to Settings > About Phone
- Tapping MIUI logo > Updater
- Selecting Check for Updates
The Redmi Note 12 5G was launched in October 2022 with a Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 chipset. It has an AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate along with a 48MP triple camera setup. The HyperOS update will further elevate the software experience for owners.
