Xiaomi plans to stop Bootloader Unlocking from May 2024

Flashing a Custom ROM and Rooting is only possible when you have an unlocked bootloader and Xiaomi users can easily unlock their bootloader with some simple steps with the help of the official bootloader unlocking tool but according to a leaked post on Weibo, Xiaomi is planning to drop the support of bootloader unlocking and other services starting from May 24, 2024, and it is very sad news for those who buy Xiaomi phone to experience the Stock Android ROM.

As we already know the release date of HyperOS, the upcoming operating system for Xiaomi phones, Xiaomi will introduce its Vela engine to optimize the smoothness of the system in HyperOS. In the leaked post, Xiaomi also mentioned that “In order to better protect the consumer experience and avoid a series of problems introduced after flashing the phone, we have decided to stop unlocking and other services for all newly launched products after May 24, 2024.
