Xiaomi is adding Extra Bloatware to MIUI 14 & MIUI 13 Updates You Can’t Uninstall
According to the latest news, Xiaomi is now adding extra bloatware to its MIUI 14 & MIUI 13 updates and you can’t uninstall them from your phone. As we have used MIUI 14 official Indian Update on Our Xiaomi Mi 11X device and we have already seen the opera browser is now preinstalled on MIUI 14 Indian updates and there was no option to uninstall it.
How this all started ?
This all started with the March security patches on MIUI 14 Global and MIUI 14 Indian ROMS and some users are getting opera browser with April security patches too. According to Kacper Skrzypek, MIUI 14 Indian & MIUI 14 Global ROMS have opera browser preinstalled which you can’t uninstall. Since Government of India has already banned Mi Browser for Xiaomi Phones in India, Xiaomi is adding Opera browser as a new browser which has inbuilt VPN and this can also steal users data.
Also, MIUI 14 Global ROM comes with now 3 Different browsers i.e Chrome, Mi Browser and Opera Browser which you can also consider as a bloatware but you can uninstall it on MIUI 14 Global version but the same can’t be uninstalled on MIUI 14 Indian Version. Remember there is no sign of opera browser on Latest EEA/RU/TW/ID/TR ROMS yet
While launching MIUI 14, company claimed that MIUI 14 will come with reduced bloatware and now they are adding opera browser as a new bloatware. What do you think about this? Let us know in the comments below.
