POCO F5 HyperOS update starts rolling out in Indonesia

The POCO F5, one of Xiaomi’s most popular phones, has started receiving the HyperOS update based on Android 14 in Indonesia. This comes after the stable HyperOS update was released for POCO F5 users in Europe, India and globally over the past few weeks.

Indonesia is the latest market where Xiaomi has begun rolling out HyperOS for the POCO F5. The update carries the software version number HyperOS 1.0.1.0.UMRIDXM.

The ID in the build number indicates this stable update has been customized for the Indonesian market. HyperOS updates for other regions on the POCO F5 have had different build numbers:

• HyperOS 1.0.4.0.UMREUXM: Europe
• HyperOS 1.0.2.0.UMRMIXM: Global
• HyperOS 1.0.3.0.UMRINXM: India

This means the POCO F5 is receiving localized HyperOS updates in different countries. The Indonesia update also bumps up the handset to the latest December 2023 Android security patch.

As we know, HyperOS is Xiaomi’s new operating system that will eventually replace MIUI on all its phones. The update brings an optimized and smoother software experience thanks to features tailored for Xiaomi devices.

The update also brings a fresh new design language, animations and customization options to the POCO F5. HyperOS focuses on delivering a seamless daily usage experience coupled with smart functions.

In line with Xiaomi’s update policy, the Indonesia HyperOS update for POCO F5 is being rolled out incrementally. Initially, only select users enrolled in the beta program will receive the update.

This helps Xiaomi ensure there are no major bugs or issues for users in general. If the initial feedback is positive, the stable update will be expanded to more POCO F5 devices in Indonesia.

Users can manually check for the update by following this process:

1. Open Settings and go to About Phone.
2. Tap on the MIUI version to open the Updater app.
3. In Updater, click on the Check for Updates option.
4. If available, the HyperOS update can be downloaded and installed.
