OxygenOS 14 finally solved a big issue
OnePlus is currently testing the OxygenOS 14 beta versions on different models; Some of them have the latest beta versions. OnePlus fixed a big issue that OnePlus users have been facing since the OxygenOS 13 release. That issue is regarding the refresh rate for some apps.
Most of the OnePlus phones come with 120hz high refresh rate displays but some of the system and third-party apps can’t run on 120hz due to OxygenOS; finally, OxygenOS 14 solved this big issue in the latest beta update. Recently, OnePlus released the OxygenOS 14 Beta 3 version for the OnePlus 11 device and this issue has been solved by introducing a new feature called App-Specific Refresh Rate. This feature will let OnePlus users choose a specific refresh rate for the app. There are three options available under this feature; 60hz, 90hz, and 120hz.
Now, with the help of this feature, OnePlus users can run apps like YouTube & the Gallery app at 120hz which was missing in the previous versions. This is a piece of very good news for OnePlus users. Those who were waiting for the fix of this problem can now get some relief. This feature is currently in Beta testing, users have to wait for the official stable release of the OxygenOS 14 version for their devices in the coming months.
