ColorOS 14 is the upcoming operating system for Oppo phones based on the latest Android 14 version. Since Oppo has already started the open beta testing for multiple devices, now they are expanding it further. The Oppo Reno 8 5G users will be glad to know that they can now experience the upcoming ColorOS 14 features on their devices as the Open Beta testing is now open and here is how you can apply known bugs, and some important instructions.
Oppo Reno 8 5G ColorOS 14 Update
The good news for Oppo Reno 8 5G users is that Oppo is now expanding the Android 14 x ColorOS 14 Open beta testing for the device and users can now experience the upcoming features that Oppo has to offer in the final ColorOS 14 update. Users can now participate in the Open Beta testing. The testing is only available for Indian Users of Oppo Reno 8 5G device and the Company is now recruiting only the first 5000 members to test the beta version. Here are the details.

- Recruitment type: Open Beta
- Time of Application: From Nov 3 to Nov. 6 (you must submit your application during this window, or the application channel will be closed)
- Quota: 5000 users
- Confirm your phone is updated to the detectable version:Â Â CPH2359_13.1.0.572(EX01)
Known Issues
- Lock screen charging animation will disappear automatically and only show when the charger is plugged in for the first time.
- The music output card in the Control Center won’t disappear on its own and cannot be manually closed.
Important Steps to Do Before Applying
- The Open Beta Test version is not stable. After updating to the version you must have the patience to tolerate the instability of the Open Beta and accept all the risks that may be caused by using the version.
- Please backup important personal data before updating to avoid data loss caused by incompatibility or other unforeseen circumstances.
- After updating to the latest Open Beta Test version, the Operating System will do several actions to optimize your device automatically. This may lead to your device heating, lagging, and having fast battery draining.
- Some third-party applications are not compatible with Android 14.
How to Apply
Step 1: Go to Settings > About device > Tap the top of the page > Tap icon on the top right > Trial versions > Beta> Fill in your information (This is important, as we’ll send you a satisfaction survey with a message to collect your feedback) > Apply Now
Step 2: Update About device > Download Now (after the application is successful)
