OnePlus Nord CE3 Lite 5G Gets OxygenOS 15 Update with Android 15 and Exciting New Features
OnePlus has started rolling out the brand-new OxygenOS 15 update for the OnePlus Nord CE3 Lite 5G, bringing the latest Android 15 to this popular phone. For now, this update is only available for selected beta testers in India, but don’t worry—it will soon be available for everyone in the coming weeks.
The update comes with the firmware version IN: CPH2467_15.0.0.400(EX01) and includes the January 2024 Android security patch. This means the phone is more stable, secure, and performs even better. Let’s break down all the exciting new features and improvements in this update in simple language!
One of the coolest updates is the Luminous Rendering Effects. Now, the rounded corners on your phone look smoother and better because they’ve been standardized and improved. This small touch makes the phone’s display feel even more premium and polished.
Live Alerts got a major upgrade, making it easier to see important information. Live Alerts are now centered on the screen for a balanced look, and the way they work has also improved. For example, if you see a capsule (a small notification bubble), you can tap it to expand it into a card. This makes it super easy to view details. You can even swipe left or right on the capsules to switch between different alerts, making it quick and efficient to check everything.
With the new Floating Window and Split View, multitasking becomes more fun and convenient. You can pull down a notification to open it in a floating window or swipe a floating window to hide it or close it. Need a bigger view? Just drag the window divider in Split View mode, and you’re good to go. It’s all about giving you more control over how you use your screen.
Notifications and Quick Settings are now smarter and easier to use. You can swipe down from the upper-left corner of the screen to check notifications and swipe down from the upper-right for Quick Settings. You can also swipe left or right to switch between the two. The Quick Settings layout looks fresh and clean, with smooth animations that feel nice to use.
A brand-new feature called OnePlus Share now lets you share files with iOS devices seamlessly. Whether you’re transferring photos or documents, it’s faster and more convenient than ever.
The update also adds cool Battery and Charging features. There’s a new Charging Limit option that stops charging your phone at 80% to protect the battery and make it last longer. Plus, if you leave your phone plugged in for too long, it will remind you to turn on the Charging Limit feature.
For personalization fans, the update brings exclusive OxygenOS Always-On Displays and Lock screen clock styles. There’s also a new Home screen clock widget that you can resize to suit your preferences. And if you like surprises, the Calculator app has a fun little easter egg—try punching in “1+=” and see what pops up!
The multitasking experience is now smoother. When you open the recent tasks view, the phone will take you back to the last app you were using. It’s a small tweak that makes switching apps much easier. Additionally, the Home screen layout is now preserved when you switch to Drawer mode for the first time, keeping everything organized just the way you like it.
Lastly, privacy gets a boost with the new Hidden Apps feature. You can now access your hidden apps from a special folder on the Home screen. Just tap the folder, enter your privacy password, and your hidden apps will appear. This keeps your sensitive apps safe and secure.
Right now, this update is only available for a few users, but it will reach all devices soon. Keep an eye on the Updater app to grab the latest version when it’s available for you. This update makes the OnePlus Nord CE3 Lite 5G even better with new features, smoother performance, and enhanced security. Are you excited to try it out?
