The newly launched Nothing Phone (2) is getting its very first OTA update. Most people don’t have purchased the device as of now but the company released its first update which brings lots of improvements and bug fixes on Nothing OS 2.0. Let’s discuss them in detail.
Nothing Phone (2) Software Information
Nothing Phone (2) launched with the latest Nothing OS 2.0 which is a refined version of Nothing OS running on Nothing Phone (1). The tech maker introduced many new features in Nothing OS 2.0 for the Phone (2) such as New home screen and lock screen widgets, Home screen customizations, Glyph composer, Swedish House Mafia ringtones, Glyph related features, App cloner, and app locker, etc. and all these features are also coming for Phone (1) in August.
Nothing Phone (2) New Hotfix update (July 18, 2023)
Nothing released a new hotfix update for Nothing Phone (2) which fixes many bugs users were facing on the Nothing OS 2.0. The main highlights of the update include fixing previous bugs encountered by some users and the size of the OTA update is 2.31MB. Here is the changelog of the new update and some screenshots.

Nothing OS 2.0 First OTA Update Details
Since this is the very first update for Phone (2), it brings improvements in the camera department, improved Glyph-related features, Enhanced low-light performance, improved HDR camera effect along with enhanced network performance for certain carriers.
The company promises to fix foggy image issues when using the front camera in backlight conditions, Glyph-related issues, app lock-related issues, quick settings slow load issues, and many more.
Moreover, the first OTA update on Nothing Phone (2) brings the latest July 2023 Android security patch level, and the size of the update is around 180MB.
