Are there any Android 14 features coming to HyperOS?

Let’s compare the current situation with the previous MIUI 14 version where Xiaomi didn’t introduce any Android 13 features for Xiaomi users last year Google introduced Themed icons that have been adopted by OEMs like Vivo, OnePlus, Oppo, realme, Samsung, etc. for their operating system along with the support of Monet engine introduced in Android 13 but none of these biggest features from last year’s Android 13 version adapted by Xiaomi. So, are there any chances that Xiaomi can introduce any Android 14 feature to self-developed HyperOS this year? Well, here are my expectations regarding this.

HyperOS Android 14 Version

As we already know Xiaomi is preparing to launch the most anticipated HyperOS along with the flagship Xiaomi 14 lineup in October but the interesting thing about the launch is HyperOS which is self-developed by Xiaomi and users are also eagerly waiting for the update and also want to know the features of HyperOS.

The Chinese tech OEM has updated almost every system app to adapt the interface of HyperOS, they just changed the interface of Control Center, added Lock Screen Customizations, etc. but none of them have any Android 14 features such as themed icons, monochrome theme, new privacy and security features, Ultra HDR support, etc. but yeah, drag and drop feature is coming as it was already present in iOS operating system.

Okay, if you are thinking that Xiaomi added Android 14’s Lock Screen Customizations for Xiaomi users then you are probably wrong as from the past history, Xiaomi just wants to adapt the interface of iOS only and doesn’t focus on Android 14 features, not for global users. The new Lock Screen Customizations are also highly inspired by iOS as seen in the leaked videos and slowly Xiaomi is trying to copy the iOS interface with time.

As per my expectations, Xiaomi won’t give any major Android 14 features to its users this year as seen in the leaked HyperOS system apps or settings etc. Even Xiaomi didn’t care about global users as they even didn’t add a Wallpaper & personalization section for global users and this year according to some rumors, Xiaomi may ditch the new Lock Screen Customizations for global users.
