After releasing three betas and two RC builds, Apple is now rolling out the iOS 17.1 update to iPhones which brings some very interesting features for Apple users which are mentioned below as well. The iOS 17.1 is the major update after the release of iOS 17 for Apple devices. Apart from this, Apple also released a few more updates including iPadOS 17.1, watchOS 10.1, tvOS 17.1, macOS Sonoma 14.1, macOS Ventura 13.6.1, macOS Monterey 12.7.1, iOS 16.7.2, iPadOS 16.7.2, iOS 15.8, iPadOS 15.8, and HomePod Software 17.1.
iOS 17.1 New Features
Apple is rolling out iOS 17.1 update for supported Apple devices along with some new features. Moreover, this new update brings various bug fixes for iPhones. Apart from this, iOS 17.1 has the same build ID as iOS 17.1 RC -> 21B74 But iPhone 15 has a new build (RC: 21B77 -> Stable: 21B80). Here are the new features introduced in the iOS 17.1 update:

- New options to control when the display turns off (iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14 Pro Max, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max).
- Flashlight indicator in Dynamic Island
- The wallpaper now turns black when using Reachability on devices with Dynamic Island.
- The Favorite button (replaced with a star icon) will appear on the lock screen when playing music from Apple Music.
- There are 8 new cover art automatically generated for playlists in Apple Music.
- UK users can add their UK bank accounts to the Wallet app in iOS 17.1, allowing them to see their account balances, payments, purchases, and deposits.
- There’s a new “Extend” option when you add a wallpaper if the image doesn’t fit the screen.
- Now you can choose a specific album when using the Photo Shuffle lock screen.
- Double Tap on the Apple Watch.
Bug Fixed in iOS 17.1 update
- Fixed the 80% charging limit issue not working on the iPhone 15 series.
- Fixed an issue that could cause persistent images (including iPhone 15 series).
- Fixed a keyboard lag issue.
