We are testing Xiaomi HyperOS on our Xiaomi phone and the new permission manager got our attention as the same permission manager is already available in the Android 14 version. The new permission manager won’t allow any app to access your photos or videos from your device. You can now choose a specific photo or video for the app so that it can access it; otherwise, none of the apps will be able to access your photos or videos until you allow full permission.
On the left side, you can see the new permission manager for HyperOS which is adopted from Android 14, and on the right side, the same permission manager is available in Android 14 AOSP. When you tap select some option, it will show you your all photos and videos and you can select from them to gain access to the app. This new permission manager is available in most of the 3rd party apps and it will ensure the security of your private data.
