Redmi Note 13 5G and Note 13 Pro 5G Receive First Software Updates in India
Xiaomi has started rolling out the first OTA (over-the-air) updates for its recently launched Redmi Note 13 5G and Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G smartphones in India. These updates bring system optimizations and improvements to the two devices that were launched in January 2023.
The Redmi Note 13 5G gets the MIUI 14.0.1.0.TNQINXM update while the Note 13 Pro 5G receives MIUI 14.0.2.0.TNRINXM. Both phones had shipped with MIUI 14 based on Android 13 out of the box.
These OTA updates are being rolled out incrementally, so it may take some time to reach all units. Users can manually check for the update by heading to Settings > About Phone > System Updates.
Even though the changelog does not mention any major changes, these updates aim to improve the overall system stability and performance of the Redmi Note 13 series phones. Installing the latest update would help fix bugs and smooth out operations.
Released last month, the Redmi Note 13 5G and Note 13 Pro 5G come with some impressive specs and flagship-level features.
Both the Redmi Note 13 5G and Note 13 Pro 5G debuted in India with MIUI 14 interface based on Android 13. The phones are confirmed to receive the Android 14 update in the future as well.
These first OTA updates for the Redmi Note 13 series aim to improve the software experience and squish some initial bugs. The updates are rolling out incrementally via the OTA route and should reach all users soon.
To manually check for the update on your Redmi Note 13 5G or Note 13 Pro 5G, head to Settings > About Phone > System Updates > Check for Updates. Tap on ‘Download’ once the update shows up and install it when prompted. Make sure the phone battery level is above 50% before installing the OTA update.
